About me

I'm a filmmaker and portrait photographer, and for me, these two go very much hand in hand. With photography, I aim for the same closeness and trust that you feel when your loved ones look at you. In films, I explore the boundaries of reality, creating moments where your mind questions what’s happening, but your senses accept it as real.

I’m based in Helsinki, Finland. Currently, I’m working on my first feature film The Well with Silmu Films, which I’m co-writing and directing. It’s a follow up on the same themes and atmosphere as my graduation film Nesting. I have a Master’s degree in Film Directing from Aalto University.

Before my studies I worked as a train conductor, selling tickets on trains. I’ve also worked as a deckhand on a small ferry on the coast of Helsinki, and as a chauffeur at different film festivals. It seems I have a fascination with anything that moves people.
